Part of Rock Prairie Road East will be closed for 8 weeks for widening project

Starting Monday, Rock Prairie Road East will be closed from Bird Pond Road to Town Lake Drive for about eight weeks as part of the roadway widening project. The intersections at Bird Pond and Town Lake will remain open, and detours will be in place.

The work on Rock Prairie from State Highway 6 to Stonebrook Drive continues, with one lane open in each direction. That phase of the project will be completed in about three weeks.

The project's next phase from Town Lake to Dublin Parkway is expected to start this summer and be completed by the fall.
