Whether you are looking for a place to host a party, to soak up some sun or to spend quality time with the family, Adamson Lagoon, Cindy Hallaran Pool, Fun for All Playground Splash Pad and W.A. Tarrow Splash Pad are the perfect spots to beat the heat this summer.

Our pools are also home to our youth and adult aquatic programs. We offer a wide variety of instructional classes and certification programs throughout the summer and fall for all ages and abilities, from learning to swim to swim team.

    Passes can be purchased online or by visiting the Stephen C. Beachy Central Park Office, located at 1000 Krenek Tap Road in College Station. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

    SWIM ATTIRE POLICY
    To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please follow our Swim Attire Policy. Improper attire can contaminate the pool, colored material not made for swimming can bleed into the pool, and cotton fibers can clog filters, cloud the water, and create chemical imbalances.
    RULES & REGULATIONS
    You may bring snacks and refreshments, but no alcohol or glass containers. Concessions are available Friday-Sunday at Adamson and may only be purchased with a credit or debit card.

    Parents are required to watch their children and be within arm’s distance of any child that is a weak swimmer and/or in a lifejacket.

    No diving in shallow water.

    Non-swimmers must wear life jackets.

    No prolonged and repeated breath holding.

    Acceptable swim wear only. No cutoffs, thongs, or mermaid tails. Click here view the swim attire policy.

    Infants must wear swim diapers or plastic pants with elastic leg bands.

    No chewing gum while in the pool area.

    Children should not hold water in their mouths or drink pool water.

    Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

    No bicycles, skateboards, skates, scooters, etc. allowed in the pool area.

    Toys will be allowed in the shallow area at Cindy Hallaran and in the baby pool at Adamson Lagoon, however no inflatable toys will be allowed. If the pool is too crowded, the facility reserves the right to not allow toys for safety reasons.

    No animals or pets in the pool area.

    No smoking around the pool area or in the pool facility.

    No glass containers of any type in the pool area.

    No public displays of affection.

    No profanity.

    Persons suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed in the pool area.

    No one will be allowed in the pool area with open wounds.

    All guests entering the facility should be swimming or with others that are swimming.

    All guests should take a shower prior to entering the pool.

    No inflatable devices (including arm floaties) are allowed in the pool. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are allowed but not in the deep area past the lifeline.

    No horseplay allowed, i.e., dunking, chicken fights, pushing, or shoving.

    Absolutely no running in the pool area (on decks or in buildings).

    Swimmers must demonstrate proficiency to swim in deep areas.

    No somersaults or back dives from edge of the pool.

    No diving, hanging, or playing on the ladders.

    Swimmers are not allowed to play with lifelines or hang on lane lines.

    Always leave safety equipment in its proper place.

    Fins are to be worn only in the water, not while walking on the pool deck.

    Swimming lap lanes are for those trying to stay fit or get into shape.

    Any number of adults or children may swim in a lap lane at one time.

    If there are more than two adults/children, circular swimming is recommended.

    Do not leave valuables unattended. We do not take responsibility for loss or theft.

    Do not engage guards in unnecessary conversations while they are on duty.

    Swimming will be suspended at the first sign of thunder or lightning. When the Earth Networks Lightning Alert System detects lightning within 10 miles of a facility, air horns will sound with an uninterrupted 15-second blast and a strobe light will be activated. If you hear the horn and/or see the light, you should seek shelter immediately in an enclosed and grounded building, enclosed vehicle, or an approved lightning shelter. Please also avoid the outdoors, metal fences, water, trees, elevated ground, open exposed areas, overhead wires and power lines, pavilions, and shelters. When the system no longer detects a threat and it is safe to resume activities, three 5-second blasts from the horn will sound and the strobe light will turn off.     QUALIFICATIONS:
    Participants must be able to swim the length of a 25-yard pool (any stroke) unassisted and be registered in the College Station Independent School District or live in a city that does not have a swim team.

    *$10 discount for each additional sibling that is registered. The fee for one child will be waived for parents who become certified officials and work a minimum of three meets.

    LONGFELLOW'S WHALE TALES
    The interactive course is designed to raise awareness of safe behavior in and around the water. The water-smart class's activities underscore Red Cross water safety topics. Each class includes a 30-minute lesson followed by 30 minutes of free swimming. The course is not a replacement for lessons. Registration isn't required.

    JUNIOR LIFEGUARD & SWIM LESSON AIDE TRAINING PROGRAM  REGISTER THROUGH FIRST CLASS DAY
    The program combines lifeguard and swim lesson instructor skills. The first half of each class focuses on water rescues, non-certified CPR/first aid, and facility operations. The second half covers assisting water safety instructors with swim lessons. Complete the course, and you can volunteer as a water safety instructor aide. Swim lesson aides receive free pool admission for the summer.

    ADULT PROGRAMS
    AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING: BLENDED LEARNING • REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 22
    Are you looking for a great summer job or a challenging career? Get lifeguard certified! Through videos, group discussions, and hands-on practice, you'll learn patron rescue, surveillance skills, first aid, and CPR/AED. Successful participants receive CPR/AED professional rescuer and lifeguarding certifications good for two years. Participants must attend each class during their session at the times listed and be prepared to enter the water daily. In addition, candidates must pass written and practical exams. Visit redcrossstore.org to download a lifeguard manual or purchase the required books. City of College Station lifeguards must be at least 16 years old.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    · Complete seven hours of online training before 5 p.m. of the first session day.
    · Be able to swim 300 yards continuously in the following order (no time requirement): 100 yards of front crawl using rhythmic breathing (to the side or front) and a stabilizing, propellant kick; 100 yards of breaststroke using a pull, breath, kick, and glide sequence; and 100 yards of either the front crawl, breaststroke, or combination.
    · Be able to swim 20 yards using the front crawl or breaststroke (starting in the water), surface dive 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point while maintaining two hands on the object, and exit the water without using a ladder or steps within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
    · Be able to tread deep water without using your hands for two minutes.
    · Must be mature and dependable.

    RECERTIFICATION: The fee is $85, and you must provide proof of ARC certification to participate. Recertification candidates must report to the Sunday class at noon. Candidates can attend on Saturday morning for retraining in CPR/AED/First Aid.

    INCENTIVE: If you’re hired by the City of College Station and work all summer at College Station pools, the cost of your certification will be reimbursed at the end of the season.

    AMERICAN RED CROSS WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR TRAINING REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 29
    Become certified to give water safety presentations and teach children and adults how to swim. Participants must attend each class during the designated times and be prepared to enter the water daily. The course has no makeup days. Before the first class day, participants must complete the online orientation emailed after registration. In addition, free "Water Safety Instructor" and "Swimming and Water Safety" manuals should be downloaded and brought to each class. After registration, candidates are emailed additional information and required materials. Successful participants are certified as water safety instructors for two years.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must be 16 years old on or before the last class day.
    • Must complete six hours of online training before the first session day.
    • Must pass a pre-course swimming skills test (Red Cross Level 4: front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke, and butterfly).
    • Participants must be able to tread water for one minute and float on their backs for one minute.

    INCENTIVE:
    If you’re hired by the City of College Station and work all four College Station swim
    lesson sessions (June-August), your certification costs are reimbursed at the end of the season. Water safety instructors that work as lifeguards will receive a 50 cent raise.

    The program is for lap swimmers, fitness swimmers, triathletes, and adults looking to improve their fitness through swimming. Swim coaches offer a structured swim environment combining stroke refinement and endurance training. Participants must be able to swim the length of a 25-yard pool (any stroke) unassisted and are encouraged to participate in the TAAF regional meet.

    ADAPTIVE AQUATICS • REGISTER TODAY!
    Adaptive Aquatics is individualized swimming instruction for those with special needs. Class duration varies from 25-45 minutes per lesson based on the swimmer's needs and abilities. The cost is based on the class length and household residency status. An adult must remain in the facility and may be asked to assist the participant in the water.     Aqua Fitness passes for the 2023 season can be used for Lap Swim, Water Fitness, Aqua Zen, Aqua HIIT, and Aqua Boot Camp. Passes can be purchased online or by visiting the Stephen C. Beachy Central Park Office, located at 1000 Krenek Tap Road in College Station. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Drop-ins are welcome. We won't have class on July 4 or Sept. 4.

    LAP SWIM
    Six lanes are available on a first-come, first-served basis – reservations aren't accepted. Kickboards and pull buoys are available for use. During peak times, swimmers must circle swim and share a lane with multiple swimmers. Private swim instruction and coaching aren't permitted.

    AQUA BOOT CAMP
    Be challenged by the resistance of the water in Aqua Bootcamp. Adults benefit from a high-intensity, interval workout that uses resistance equipment for an additional challenge. It combines strength training, aerobic conditioning, and water resistance for an incredible full-body workout.

    AQUA ZEN
    Combine the best of yoga, Pilates, and Tai-chi with warm water. The class combines stretching, balancing, postures, and core work in the pool. The low-impact course leaves you feeling stronger, taller, and more flexible.

    WATER FITNESS
    The classes provide enjoyable and effective exercises to increase cardiopulmonary capacity, strength, and flexibility. Those who are physically fit, prenatal, postnatal, post-operative, have arthritis or muscle injuries, or are sedentary are invited.

    RENTAL DETAILS
    Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be held without proper documentation and fees. Reservations must be made no later than 10 days prior to the desired reservation date. Reservations can be made by calling 979.764.3486 or by emailing [email protected]. Cash, credit card or check accepted. Checks should be made payable to “City of College Station.”


    DEPOSITS
    A security deposit is required for rentals. Portions or all of the deposit will be forfeited if damage, extra maintenance, or extraordinary cleanup occurs as a result of rental. Deposits will be refunded on the following conditions: (1) terms of your rental have been met, (2) facilities are left in good condition, or (3) cancellation procedures have been followed.

    CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
    Cancellation refunds more than 10 days: If the rental is cancelled, in writing, at least ten (10) days in advance of the originally scheduled date, a full refund of fees and deposits, including security deposit, will be returned to customer.
     
    Cancellation refunds less than 10 days: If the rental is cancelled, in writing, less than ten (10) days but more than 48 hours in advance of the originally scheduled date, deposits, including security deposits, will be forfeited by the customer in favor of the City.
     
    Cancellation refunds less than 48 hours: If the rental is cancelled, in writing, less than 48 hours in advance of the originally scheduled date, all fees and deposits, including security deposits, will be forfeited by the customer in favor of the City.
     
    Cancellation due to inclement weather: At the sole discretion of the City, if the event cannot be held or rescheduled due to inclement weather, fees and deposits, including security deposit shall be refunded to customer.
     
    Deposit refund post event: If the facility is left to standard and required keys (if applicable) are returned within 24 hours, the customer's deposit will be refunded. 

    All refunds are processed within 30 days of request by check. No cash refunds will be issued.

    RENTAL RULES & REGULATIONS
    No commercial groups are allowed to rent the pool to make a profit.

    Glass bottles and containers are prohibited.
    No alcohol or popcorn.

    Piñatas, confetti, streamers, glitter, and silly string is prohibited.

    Food must be precut before entering the facility.
    There is no access to electricity or water for catering/food purposes.

    Extension cords are not permitted on the pool deck.

    College Station pool rules and regulations apply during all rentals.
